Electrical Test Technician- 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

Inspection and testing of electrical/electronic power equipment, transformers, circuit breakers
Troubleshooting of AC and DC power and control circuits up to 480V
Perform occasional repairs of control, power and fiber optic assembly, crimping and routing
Programming electronic devices, interfacing with computer and programs on computer
Completing test reports and documentation using computer, keyboard, paperwork
Manipulating objects, tools and controls
Includes standing for extended periods of time, as well as reaching, bending and kneeling

Required

Inspection and testing of electrical/electronic power equipment, transformers, circuit breakers

Proficient with Voltmeter and current meter
Read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Experience using hand tools
Proficient with Voltmeter and current meter
Experience with use and maintenance of electrical PPE
Experience with Lock-out/Tag-out and other standard electrical safety procedures
Computer experience; Excel, Word, file manipulation
Experience with electrical parts assembly and/or wiring preferred
Electrical troubleshooting of electrical component and electronics
Use of measurement tools
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Some programming knowledge a plus
Some knowledge of the NEC code preferred
Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or 2 years minimum experience in the power industry

Preferred

Experience with electrical parts assembly and/or wiring preferred

Some knowledge of the NEC code preferred
