Facilities Manager

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of their facilities. The role involves managing maintenance schedules, supervising staff, coordinating with volunteers, and ensuring safety and compliance within the facilities.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Oversee maintenance schedule for all facilities
Monitor expenses related to property upkeep and repairs
Administer facility components of TSA Injury and Illness Prevention Plan
Ensure that all maintenance and landscaping tools and equipment are in good, safe condition
Oversee contracted landscaping services so that grounds are always in good condition: mowed, fertilized, edged, and watered, etc
Ensure that all Corps vehicles are operational and in good condition
Supervise Other Maintenance staff
Effectively deploy volunteers
Adhere to Salvation Army Safety Policy
Ensure that room set ups and breakdowns are completed for all meetings
Ensure that Chapel is prepared for Sunday Services
Assist in holiday kettle and toy drive
Coordinate special projects as directed by the Corps Officer
Perform deliveries and pickups using Salvation Army vehicles as needed
Ensure that American and The Salvation Army flags are flown, weather permitting
Other related duties as required

Required

Experience in physical facilities maintenance management, including the monitoring of contracts and warranties with Business Administrator
Experience in supervising maintenance staff
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water, landscape, irrigation systems
CA driver's license (Required)
Working knowledge of utilizing and directing vendors/sub-contractors
Can request and analyze bids for projects and property repairs
Current First Aid/ CPR/ AED certification
Strong leadership ability to direct and organize staff
Able to work and relate well with people
Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving
Able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
Maintain confidentiality of clients and staff
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and vendors
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred

Bilingual in Spanish
