Responsibilities
While all Procurement Managers will generally perform the same tasks, each will have specific areas of responsibility and, within those areas of responsibility specific vendors and vendor management responsibilities
The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the full sourcing process including; strategy development, industry benchmarking, supplier segmentation, negotiations, award recommendation, business case creation, risk assessment, and contract documentation
Delivers savings/financial targets in line with company objectives
Demonstrate leadership with the skills to influence others, interact successfully with peers, and with all levels of management in the organization
In addition to traditional sourcing value dimensions, the Procurement Manager will create relationships that adhere to company standards for compliance and minimize risk to the organization
Implements strategies including creation of RFx documents, defines selection criteria and leads supplier selection in partnership with business stakeholders
Manages supplier performance against contracted terms and insures adherence to functional and technical requirements
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 6 years prior relevant experience
Preferred
Excels at communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience in Procurement or a related Sourcing function
Adept at spend and data analytics, as well as understanding and anticipating market trends
Adept at managing a portfolio of projects against the 5 or 7 step procurement process
Proficient in contract terms negotiation
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
