They are seeking a CNC Milling Machine Operator to set up and operate machinery for producing metal parts and ensuring quality production through monitoring and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

Verify correct product using job traveler
Set-up and operate a Milling machine to blueprint specifications
Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production
Monitor and ensure all fluid levels are maintained on all equipment (coolant, hydraulic fluids, ETC.)
Monitor inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to supervisor
Must use precision measuring tools and job specific hand tools
Read part drawing with sectional views
Lift, position, and transport work piece with a hoist
Must accurately record labor hours into E1 system
Maintain plant standards in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, 5S, housekeeping, teamwork, and attendance
Demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts
Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments
Recommend improvements for area product and processes
Interact professionally when interacting with customers and employees
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required

Dependable, honest, quick learner, good communication skills, and team player
Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure that the customer demand is met
Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions
Blueprint reading required
Precision measuring tools required

Preferred

1+ years of related experience or training: or an equivalent combination of education and experience
High school diploma or GED is preferred
Currently enrolled in technical program such as machining, welding, industrial equipment, or manufacturing engineering
