Responsibilities

Set up and operate rotary grinding machinery based on process sheets and blueprints
Verify dimensions and specifications using gauges, micrometers, and indicators
Mount and dress grinding wheels to ensure optimal performance
Conduct in-process and final quality checks to maintain product standards
Use hand tools and overhead hoists as needed for efficient operations
Secure components with magnetic chucks or jigs for precise grinding
Adjust machine controls for speed, feed rate, and wheel angle to meet specifications
Perform minor preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
Conduct water pressure tests on manifolds to ensure compliance with blueprints and standards
Follow ISO guidelines, Job Instruction Sheets, and Tag Procedures to ensure safety and quality
Collaborate with team members, provide training to apprentices, and suggest process improvements

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of relevant experience or training in grinding operations

Problem-solving skills involving multiple variables in standardized situations
