Responsibilities

Support the installation and troubleshooting of the Versius installed base in the assigned territory, lead repair activities and perform maintenance services
Own customer issues from identification to resolution, ensuring high customer satisfaction
Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out precisely, on schedule, and documented in full compliance with FDA Good Documentation Practices (GDocP)
Maintain customer service logs, internal service records, and accurate system configurations for the installed base
Manage spare parts inventory in line with company guidelines, including ordering, reverse logistics and calibration tools within your area of responsibility
Complete all administrative tasks on time (service orders, logistics paperwork, expenses, etc.)
Provide technical guidance to end users and internal CMR teams
Provide on-site case support for new accounts during the early stage of their customer journey
Undertake extensive product training and maintain skills as systems and processes evolve
Report any complaints in alignment with internal SLAs and Post-Market Surveillance processes; escalate feedback for continuous product improvement through defined channels
Maintain active registration in required hospital vendor credentialing systems (e.g., Symplr, IntelliCentrics, Vendormate), ensuring up-to-date background checks, vaccination records and completion of any site-specific training modules
Follow state and hospital access policies, ensuring eligibility for work in restricted clinical areas
Be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Service and Support remit that supports the team with delivering its objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree, associate degree, or equivalent in engineering, electronics, biomedical engineering, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years of field service experience in a regulated environment (medical or pharmaceutical preferred)
Familiarity with operating theatre/OR protocols and medical device handling
Willingness to travel extensively, work away from home, and occasionally work outside standard business hours
A proactive, hands-on attitude with strong problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting contracted Service Level Agreements
Ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams under pressure, maintaining strong relationships
Flexibility to work in cross-functional environments and adapt to changing priorities
Proven track record in independent troubleshooting and repair of complex electromechanical systems
Knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and software, including performing software updates via engineering interfaces
An understanding of ESD measures, Electrical Safety, Medical Contamination risks, decontamination
Proficient in the use of tools such as DMMs and ES testers
Consistent and resilient in providing structured feedback internally, actively contributing to product and process improvements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Field Service CRM tools such as ServiceMax
Ability to lift up to 20 kg and work in clinical environments, including operating theatres
Valid US driver's license and ability to travel at short notice, including frequent overnight stays
Availability to travel to Europe for initial training and case observations
Maintain active registration in required hospital vendor credentialing systems (e.g., Symplr, IntelliCentrics, Vendormate), ensuring up-to-date background checks, vaccination records and completion of any site-specific training modules
Follow state and hospital access policies, ensuring eligibility for work in restricted clinical areas

Preferred

CBET certification is strongly preferred
Experience servicing high-value capital equipment (e.g., imaging systems, surgical robotics, radiotherapy)
