Procure consumables, fuel, equipment rentals, sanitation services, and other project-specific needs in a timely and cost-effective manner
Source and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
Establish and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships to ensure reliability and quality
Coordinate delivery schedules to job sites, ensuring materials and services meet project timelines
Review and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgetary guidelines
Monitor inventory levels and proactively manage stock for frequently used items
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and accounting to ensure accurate billing and cost allocation
Track and report on purchasing activities, vendor performance, and cost-saving initiatives
Resolve discrepancies with orders, invoices, and deliveries promptly
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
0-5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management (construction industry preferred)
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Familiarity with construction materials, equipment rentals, and trucking logistics
