Responsibilities

Dive into the Six Sigma DMAIC process to identify and improve a process on Flexco’s shop floor! Previous projects have helped reduce downtime and improve the flow of production for various departments in the manufacturing plant. Follow the steps of the DMAIC steps to Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control your selected process
Strengthen your technical skills and gain experience with following procedures and using equipment to perform inspections on parts. Equipment may include a Tensile Tester, gauges, and a Coordinate Measure Machine (CMM)
Assist the Quality Team with updating internal quality-related documents, including audit materials and compliance procedures
Learn what it means to work on a cross-functional team to succeed in problem-solving! As a Quality Intern, you will be working with various shop floor employees, Product Engineers, and Continuous Improvement Specialists

Required

Full-time, on-site availability (40 hours/week)
Currently enrolled in college/university with Fall 2026 registration confirmed
Must be a rising junior or higher
Major in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar Engineering degree

Preferred

Experience using hand tools such as calipers and micrometers is a plus
Experience with root cause analysis or Lean Six Sigma tools is a plus
2+ years of experience with Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
