This role involves developing and structuring SBA 7(a) loans, building client relationships, and maintaining a strong referral network.

Responsibilities
Generate and close a minimum of $12 million in SBA 7(a) loans each calendar year. Goals may change at credit union discretion
Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers in accordance with DFCU Financial values of collaboration and professionalism
Structure loan proposals, complete initial underwriting and prepare a background narrative outlining the request before submitting to underwriting with support of SBA Program Director
Maintain a strong working knowledge of SBA standard operating procedures
Contribute to the success of the SBA department by sharing in all department responsibilities as required or assigned
Attend community networking events, as required
Work occasional Saturday hours or extended weekday hours, as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
3-5 years of experience as an SBA Business Development Officer
Self-driven with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated sales ability, influences with impact
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication
