Responsibilities

Creation and ongoing management of the Procurement category strategy for Sales Enablement for North America ultimately delivers the business requirements across assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation
Leverage AI via Procurement’s digital tools for sourcing, contracting, and risk identification and management
Running competitive sourcing processes (RFP/RFQ/eAuctions) to identify new suppliers and solutions aligned to our evolving business needs
Negotiate contracts with suppliers that secure favorable terms for GSK in line with the agreed business requirements
Partner with Local Procurement colleagues to execute strategic initiatives
Build strategic relationships with GSK stakeholders, to understand business requirements, identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement’s value proposition. Align sourcing strategies accordingly
Lead stakeholder alignment and annual value plan delivery
Lead SRM for key strategic vendors to collaborate on innovative new solutions for GSK
Manage key suppliers through a robust performance management process. Ensure supplier performance is understood and measured

Required

5+ years of commercial procurement experience and understanding of the sales category where possible
Bachelor's Degree
Understanding of the link between marketing, sales and HCP engagement
Procurement experience particularly with respect to developing & implementing strategies, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management and some experience of regulated environments
Experience in influencing strategy and managing across multiple markets
Contracting experience required, including a thorough understanding of contracting fundamentals and experience with contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance

Preferred

Leadership and effective communication skills
Understanding of Procurement tools / skillset such as sourcing, RFP processes, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development and others
Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues within a matrix structure, and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change
Ability to manage sensitive partnerships, strong influencing and stakeholder partnering skills coupled with excellent negotiation and communication skills
English proficiency (written and oral), other language will be a plus
Knowledge of finance (cost benchmark & financial audit with key supplier) and legal matters (contracting)
Experience in managing global projects
