Responsibilities
Set-up and operate basic SMC machines that perform one of the following potential operations: product cleaning machines such as large industrial washers and dryers, saws, lathe/orbital TIG welding, manual drills, gun drills, tap machines, polygonal flat machines, thread roll machines, brush polishing, bead blast machines, paint gun, thermal deburr, passivation, brazing, etc
Supervise the machine during task execution and make necessary adjustments as needed to produce a better product to specification. When the process is complete, inspect that the product has been washed and cleaned to standard
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to ensure machine functionality (ex. Minor adjustment to maintain conductivity)
Understand and follow all company policies and safety procedures
In this role, you will complete all other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Additional training will be provided to new hires on SMC ERP systems, standards, practices and will attend the Basics of Machine Operator Course
Qualification
Required
No prior experience needed
Available to work overtime on weekdays/weekends as needed (multiple day time schedules are available)
Basic computer and math skills
Detail-oriented
Work in a team environment for an increased productivity and quality
Communication: Must be able to read/write/speak and understand English. Must be able to effectively communicate
