Program Coordinator (Summer 2026)
YMCA of Greenville is a longstanding organization dedicated to strengthening communities through leadership and support. They are seeking a Program Coordinator to assist in providing leadership to the summer program staff, ensuring a high standard environment and facilitating various camp programs.
Civic & Social Organization
Responsibilities
Works with full time team in providing camp leadership to your designated division and the rest of camp
Responsible for creating and carrying out a high standard environment for camp staff throughout the summer
Plan and facilitate evening programs for all of camp
Assist program staff in maintaining program areas in accordance with ACA guidelines
Maintaining schedules for program staff and managing afternoon activity schedule (Truddy time)
Assist in leading daily staff meetings
Ability to work with participants of all backgrounds
Maintaining rosters, checklists, and reporting information in a timely manner
Building and supporting our camp staff in creating a safe, fun, and magical experience for all who come to camp
Lead by example in all aspects of camp
Support senior leadership team in decision making and program management throughout the summer
Assist with evaluations of staff throughout summer
Assist with any high adventure program facilitation (High ropes, zip line, etc.)
Serve as a role model, upholding our camp values, and working with integrity, creativity, and safety in mind at all times
Responsible for the health and well-being of the campers mentally, emotionally, and physically, during their time at camp
Must approach responsibilities in a fun, creative, enthusiastic, and professional manner
Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
Follow mandated reporting requirements
Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities
CPR/First Aid Certified or ability to obtain by June 2026
Meet YCG minimum requirements to drive a 15-passenger minibus
Clean MVR check (Motor Vehicle Check)
At least 18 years old or graduated high school by June 2026

Required
