Senior Fuel Cell Engineer

Precise Systems is a solutions-based company focused on innovation in support of warfighters. They are seeking a Senior Fuel Cell Engineer to collaborate with the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington D.C., where the engineer will be responsible for writing technical reports, conducting presentations, and analyzing fuel cell data.

Responsibilities

Independently write clear and complete technical reports and papers
Independently create slide decks and deliver briefings on technical and programmatic (schedule, deliverables, etc.) topics
Organize and execute test events with DoD customers and teams
Collect, organize, analyze materials and fuel cell data to diagnose, characterize and improve electrochemical systems
Independently write reports and articles for publication in academic literature and/or the Defense Technical Information Center
Independently prepare and conduct presentations at scientific conferences and program reviews and fluently discuss research results as well as schedules, deliverables, and research challenges

Required

B.S. or higher degree in science or engineering related to fuel cells and power systems
At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, and working with fuel cell power systems and their components
At least 6 years of experience working with gaseous hydrogen generation, storage, and fueling systems
At least 6 years of experience designing, developing, and working with power electronics, controls, and data acquisition equipment for fuel cells and related electrical power systems
Familiarity with fuel cell related diagnostic techniques, such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and continuous voltage monitoring
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred

Familiarity with the DoD power and energy community
Familiarity with DoD test ranges
Experience with unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)
Experience with expeditionary power systems
