EMURGO is a leading global blockchain technology company and a founding entity of the Cardano blockchain. They are seeking an experienced DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer to help maintain, improve, and scale their development processes, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

Learn, understand, and maintain the company’s existing infrastructure, deployments, and internal tools
Ensure top availability of all running infrastructure; proactively identify and address weak points
Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and development integrations with third-party services
Collaborate with Development and QA teams to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
Work closely with tech leads and the CTO to enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
Participate in rotating weekend monitoring duties to ensure quick responses to infrastructure alerts
(Optional) Contribute to product development in Node.js and/or Rust if combining with a developer position

Required

5+ years of experience in backend development, infrastructure administration, DevOps, or system administration
Strong production experience with CI/CD solutions
Hands-on experience with cloud providers such as AWS, OVH, Heroku, and Google Cloud
Deep understanding of web infrastructure: hosting, DNS, CDN, load balancing, and proxying
Advanced Unix/Linux administration and scripting (bash)
Familiarity with containerization and infrastructure as code tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Vagrant, etc
Strong understanding of network fundamentals and eventual consistency models
Experience in database management, performance monitoring, and debugging
Proficiency with Git and GitHub (or similar platforms)
Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Preferred

Experience with programming languages: Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Perl
Familiarity with package managers: npm, Cargo, Nix
Experience managing native mobile app CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and systems
