PROGRAM MANAGER, RESIDENTIAL - CHARLOTTESVILLE (FULL TIME)
Region Ten CSB is dedicated to providing services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The Program Manager will oversee the daily operations of congregate residential programs, ensuring effective staff supervision, client training, and facilities management.

Responsibilities
Serve as the Manager of a congregate residential program
Oversee daily operations of congregate residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities
Supervise staff, client training and treatment, and facilities management
Function with initiative and utilize independent judgment
Refer situations to the supervisor for clarification or interpretation of policy
Qualification
Required
At least 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities required
A valid Virginia Driver's License plus an acceptable driving record as issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles are required
For business use of a personal car, a certificate of valid personal automobile insurance must be provided
Knowledge of characteristics and support needs of persons with developmental disabilities, including, but not limited to intellectual disability, autism, mental illness, behavioral disorders, language disorders, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and other sensory impairments
Knowledge of assessment and intervention strategies with persons with severe, multiple disabilities (counseling, training, etc.)
Knowledge of strategies for modifying physical environments and tools to augment limited abilities
Knowledge of non-aversive behavioral management techniques/crisis intervention skills
Knowledge of sign language and alternative communication systems
Knowledge of financial management and accounting principles and procedures
Knowledge of principles and practices of staff recruitment, hiring, supervising, training and evaluating
Knowledge of principles and practices of team development and management by objectives
Knowledge of strategies of program evaluation
Knowledge of specific local, state and federal regulations
Knowledge of philosophies of normalization/integration
Knowledge of medical conditions
Knowledge of basic first aid
Knowledge of medication management and CPR
Skills in client needs assessment, service planning, development of rehabilitative programs and evaluation of individual progress
Skills in counseling and behavioral management skills with dually-diagnosed persons
Skills in management of aggressive behaviors
Skills in use of communication systems with language impaired persons

Skills in negotiating services with contractual and other agencies

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a human services degree preferred
At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred
