Responsibilities
Plan layout, assemble, install, maintain and test electrical equipment, lighting and devices in residential and commercial settings
Complete electrical upgrades to a property's electrical system, renovate existing spaces or build new additions for residences and commercial offices
Resolve problems with existing wiring, fixtures, and devices
Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code and perform calculations, as needed, to complete electrical assignments
Communicate and coordinate with colleagues and with customers about work completed and remaining
Good writing and math skills, and attention to detail are needed to submit associated paperwork to the office
Organize and prioritize work in order to meet project commitments
Prepare for upcoming jobs, including ensuring proper material is on hand when needed
Update industry knowledge and safety practices by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications, etc
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant experience is required
High standards of integrity and professionalism
Clean driving record and ability to pass background / drug testing
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees, colleagues in the field, as well as customers
Excellent customer service skills are essential
Fluency in English is required
Preferred
Journeyman's License is preferred
Experience working with old wiring is highly desirable
