$10/hr - $10/hrDel Mar College is an educational institution that is seeking a Student Assistant for their Corporate Services team. The primary purpose of this role is to assist with social media marketing and other public relations, advertising, and marketing activities required by the department.
Responsibilities
Create graphics and content for social media
Develop a social media calendar
Design and develop flyers, brochures and other promotional content for online and print
Research business stories to tell, relevant industry news, trending industry topics and industry influences
Write articles, press releases and social media content for internal (employees) and external (media, customers) consumption
Update department website when required using the Content Management System (CMS)
Qualification
Required
Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours while employed
Fields of study may include: Communications, Journalism, News & Storytelling, Marketing, Public Relations, or English
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other desktop publishing software
Ability to create and assist in the development of professionally written documents suitable for multiple audiences
Familiarity with web page formatting
Skilled in the use of general graphic design
Demonstrate ability to use journalistic storytelling techniques and copy editing
Reliable in completing assigned projects in a polished and timely manner
Preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
