Responsibilities
Obtain Professional Engineer registration in the states needed for assigned projects
Mentor less-experienced Engineers and Designers
Assist the Project Manager in the technical, administrative, budgetary, and schedule implementation of assigned projects, as well as in generating and maintaining project schedules
Communicate with Customers concerning project business
Domestic travel is required to meet with Customers and to visit job sites to ensure successful project implementation
Assist the Project Manager in keeping project costs within budget
Report to management on project, budget, and schedule status
Prepare estimates for proposed projects
Routinely supervises Drafters, Designers, Technicians, and may direct other Engineers as assigned by Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager
Assist with or prepare presentations to existing or future Customers which would aid in obtaining future business
Prepare reports and other assistance as required to support management in strategic planning for the Company
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, plus a minimum of eight (8) years engineering experience, or, a Master's Degree in Engineering, plus a minimum of six (6) years engineering experience
Professional Engineer Registration is required
Demonstrated ability to act as Engineer of Record and seal drawings when needed
Assist Project Manager with performance reviews for more junior Drafters and Designers
Domestic travel is required to meet with Customers and to visit job sites to ensure successful project implementation
The ability to work overtime, 10 to 20 hours per week when workload is necessary, is required
