Responsibilities

Support medication preparation and distribution, including non-controlled and controlled substances

Maintain inventory, restock medications, and ensure accurate labeling and storage

Assist with documentation, medication order entry, and fulfillment processes

Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices

May provide direct patient support and education as delegated by a pharmacist

Ensure protection of patient confidentiality, medication security, and financial information

Participate in quality assurance, audits, and compliance processes as needed

Perform responsibilities across varied care settings including inpatient hospital, oncology, and home care

Required

High School Diploma or GED

Licensure with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy (must be one of the following): Certified Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Intern License, Nationally Certified Technician with active Tech Trainee status, Registered Technician (must attain Certification within 6 months of hire)

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced healthcare environment
