Responsibilities
Reverse engineer multi-layer PCB assemblies, including schematic reconstruction, signal tracing, and component identification
Analyze existing embedded firmware and develop new codebases to restore or enhance device functionality
Document reverse-engineered circuits, including netlists, BOMs, and schematics
Lead advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair optimization
Develop automated test setups for diagnostics, validation, and performance analysis
Redesign outdated boards using modern components while maintaining compatibility
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless board-level integration
Mentor junior engineers and technicians on repair, firmware flashing, and troubleshooting practices
Work with vendors to identify equivalent or improved component replacements
Support production, service, and field teams during redesign or failure investigations
Contribute to technical training content, SOPs, and best practices
Research and incorporate emerging technologies for innovation and sustainability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
4+ years of experience in PCB reverse engineering, embedded firmware development, and troubleshooting
Strong proficiency in C, Python, and Linux for embedded development (ARM, 8051, PIC, etc.)
Deep knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, signal integrity, and power electronics
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and JTAG/debuggers
Skilled in rework stations, soldering/desoldering, and BGA reballing
Familiarity with UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, and other communication protocols
Excellent documentation, analytical, and debugging skills
Strong communication and mentoring abilities
Preferred
Experience with LCD/LED display and touchscreen technologies
Background in repair centers, refurbishing operations, or high-reliability systems
Knowledge of project management tools/methodologies
