Responsibilities
Perform routine clinical tasks under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare professional
Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and record patient history
Administer injections and immunizations as directed
Assist providers with procedures and specimen collection
Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and ready state
Document patient care in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Provide patient education and instructions per provider orders
Coordinate patient flow to ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations
Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, updating records, and responding to inquiries
Comply with all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a Medical Assistant training program (Certificate or Diploma)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be current and valid)
Must pass a federal background check and drug screening
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with cultural sensitivity
Preferred
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or hospital setting preferred
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., RPMS, IHS EHR) is a plus
