Responsibilities

Serve as the Logistics Officer with responsibility for overall program management, direction, and control of wing logistics planning

Manage, direct, develop and implement policy programs and procedures for the accurate management of Wing Logistics planning

Provide administrative and technical oversight to a lower-graded specialist

Ensure fully prepared assigned unit personnel and equipment for Aerospace Expeditionary Force/Wing Operations

ARIZONA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Air National Guard, in a military position assigned to 161st

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement

Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform

Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment

Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service

Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation

May be required to successfully complete a trial period

Participation in direct deposit is mandatory

Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver's license

Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day

This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent is subject to random drug testing. Pre-employment drug testing and participation in random drug testing is a condition of employment

If selected member is enlisted, they will not be able to move into hired position until being commissioned through completion of Officer Training School (OTS)

Military Grades: Enlisted: E6/TSgt - E9/CMSgt Officer: O1/2LT - O4/MAJ

Compatible Military Assignments: possess or able to qualify for AFSC 21R3

Must possess 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level

Must have experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations

Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan

Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan

Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions

Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed

Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel
