Responsibilities

Designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting of our virtualized infrastructure, primarily based on VMware vSphere and related technologies
Understanding virtualization principles, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing a stable, secure, and high-performing virtual environment
Working independently and as part of a team to meet the evolving needs of the organization
Administer and maintain a VMware vSphere environment, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and related components
Implement and manage vSAN storage solutions
Configure and manage NSX-T network virtualization
Provision, configure, and maintain virtual machines (VMs) according to established standards and best practices
Monitor system performance and capacity, identifying and resolving bottlenecks
Perform regular health checks and proactive maintenance to ensure system stability
Apply patches and upgrades to VMware infrastructure components
Participate in the design and implementation of new virtualized solutions to meet business requirements
Develop and maintain documentation related to the virtual infrastructure
Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerCLI, Python)
Implement and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans for the virtual environment, using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) or similar technologies
Plan and execute migrations of physical servers to virtual machines

Expert knowledge of networking concepts
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
U.S. Citizenship
U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret level
