They are seeking a Process Chemistry Intern who will work under the supervision of a senior scientist to advance AbbVie’s AI goals through high-throughput experiments and data curation for AI/ML applications.

Design and execution of high-throughput experiments using automation technology
Characterization and analysis of experimental results
Curation of datasets for use in AI/ML applications
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PhD in Chemistry or other related fields
Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
Developed skills in synthetic chemistry and Ability to conduct and interpret scientific experiments, including analytical methods (HPLC, NMR)
Preferred
Expected graduation date between December 2026 – July 2027
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including analysis and providing suggestions for additional experiments, including design and development of new assays
Self-motivated; ability to execute with limited supervision and direction. Can work independently or as part of a team
Ability to independently troubleshoot experiments, operate laboratory reactors, and identify and solve elementary problems in experimental designs
Programming experience (Python or similar)
