Responsibilities
Develop chromatography, electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, and/or biophysical techniques for the characterization of therapeutic proteins
Optimize specialized protein separation techniques to enable the analysis of product quality attributes of interest
Troubleshoot equipment and experimental problems
Perform analytical tests to characterize the structure of therapeutic proteins, including antibody drug conjugates
Compile and assess analytical data to prepare reports or manuscripts for the study
May support lab automation
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or related field
Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
Previous work experience in a laboratory setting required
Hands on analytical chemistry experience
Preferred
Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027
Previous experience with protein separation techniques (ion exchange chromatography, reverse-phase liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, etc.), and/or high-resolution mass spectrometers
Experience in protein sample preparation for analytical tests
Data visualization skills are a plus
Effective writer and communicator with ability to interact effectively with interdisciplinary scientists and engineers
High attention to detail, creativity in problem solving, and strong interpersonal skills
