Responsibilities

Assist with the implementation of the EHS program at the facility
Enforce compliance with EHS policies, programs, and standards, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations
Conduct audits, identify non-compliance, and recommend sustainable corrective actions. Monitor and drive completion of the identified corrective actions
Develop the facility safety training plan
Provide monthly safety training, including new hire orientation training
Investigate injuries, near misses, conditions, and incidents to discover root causes and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented
Implement of the ergonomic plan at the facility to help identify methods to prevent musculoskeletal disorders injuries
Lead the plantwide safety/ergonomics teams
Develop and lead the plant emergency response team
Work with production and management to foster a safety culture and address concerns

Qualification

Environmental scienceEHS experienceOSHA knowledgeEPA regulationsAccident investigationsTraining facilitationErgonomics understandingSoft skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing/construction environment
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations
Understanding of ergonomics and methods to prevent musculoskeletal disorders injuries
Experience in facilitating in-house training programs
Experience conducting accident and incident investigations
