Emory Healthcare is seeking motivated future Registered Dietitians for their full-time, in-person Dietetic Internship based in Atlanta, GA. The internship provides supervised practice hours in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, and foodservice management to prepare graduates for entry-level RD practice.

Responsibilities

Assist Registered Dietitians in the assessment, planning, and implementation of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for patients across diverse populations and conditions

Conduct nutrition screenings, collect patient data, and document findings in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) following hospital policies

Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals

Observe and contribute to outpatient nutrition counseling and education sessions

Support food service operations by assisting with menu planning, special diets, sanitation audits, and production oversight

Engage in community outreach and education programs as assigned

Complete assigned projects, case studies, and presentations as part of academic and site requirements

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times in accordance with HIPAA and hospital policies

Qualification

Minimum 3.0 GPA (overall and science)

A bachelors degree in food and nutrition or dietetics

Masters degree conferred either prior to start or within 57 weeks of starting the internship program

Accepted into the Emory University Hospital Dietetic Internship Program

Completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics prior to start

Competent in basic computer skills

Preferred

Master's degree completed by May 2027 preferred (no later than Oct 2027)
