The City of South Lake Tahoe is hiring a Data and Innovation Intern to support the delivery of efficient, data-informed public services. The intern will work closely with the Assistant City Manager and the Data and Innovation Program Manager on projects that enhance service delivery, optimize digital platforms, and improve internal operations through data analysis and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on process improvement projects that streamline city operations using existing tools and platforms
Support GIS data editing, map creation, and spatial analysis to inform decision-making
Assist in optimizing digital platforms used daily by city staff
Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency
Contribute to user research, data storytelling, and solution design
Document workflows, test new features, and provide feedback on digital tools
