Associate Business Development Manager
Wellington Management offers comprehensive investment management capabilities and is seeking an Associate Business Development Manager to join their Americas Institutional Group. The role involves identifying institutional opportunities, conducting market research, and developing business strategies to enhance client relationships and drive growth.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and understand market trends
Develop and maintain deep relationships with new and existing clients and consultants, ensuring the highest levels of client service
Develop and implement business development strategies tailored to the institutional marketplace, aligning with Wellington's strategies and priority products
Work in partnership with Business Development Managers to grow and defend the business in these regions
Work in close partnership with internal Relationship Management, Consultant Relations, Product Management and Investment teams to drive exceptional growth
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience within the investment industry
Deep understanding of the investment landscape in the Americas Institutional market
Strong track record in sales across alternatives, equity, and fixed income products
Strategic thinker with a passion for building and nurturing client relationships
Driving business growth and delivering exceptional service to institutional clients
Enjoy being an individual contributor within a highly collaborative team
Build strong, trusting relationships with clients, prospects and consultants, and industry contacts
Recognize the benefits of diverse perspectives
Flexibility and openness to continue learning, evolving and growing
Creative approach to think about innovation and the future of the Americas Institutional business
Proven aptitude for sales, paired with strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset
Willingness to travel within the US

Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Strategic and tactical thinker with solid organizational skills

CFA/CAIA or advanced degree is strongly preferred
