Manufacturing Engineering Technician- Automation

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician - Automation will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify faults and potential issues
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Troubleshoot equipment and machinery to diagnose malfunctions and determine the appropriate course of action
Repair or replace defective electronic parts, such as sensors, switches, circuit boards, and wiring, using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic software
Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols
Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks, accurately and comprehensively
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electronic equipment and machinery
Stay updated on advancements in electronic/automation technology and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Ability to run and provide basic programing of automated equipment
Qualification
Required
2-5 years in a technical field related to equipment maintenance or related Job experience and laboratory technical experience
Technical school background or science based bachelor degree
Strong understanding of electronics principles, digital and analog systems, programing and troubleshooting techniques
Strong understanding of mechanical principles and the use of basic hand tools for troubleshooting and repair
Knowledge of fluid dispensing/mixing, programming and electrical systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and specification sheets
Able to communicate and coordinate tasks through to implementation
Understanding of lean processes
Minimum of three years of machine/electronics maintenance experience in a medical device/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
Minimum of two years of Laboratory work experience in Genomics
Knowledge of, and commitment to, safety requirements for machines and facilities
