Responsibilities

Deploy, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain UAV systems remotely and during on-site visits, ensuring high performance and reliability

Collaborate with unmanned OEMs and Somewear’s engineering team to integrate UAV hardware, software, and RF communication systems, focusing on components like transceivers and antennas

Utilize pilot experience to operate UAVs during testing, demonstrations, and customer missions, adhering to safety and operational protocols

Deliver remote and in-person training to end-users, including military personnel, on UAV operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Diagnose and resolve issues related to UAV hardware, software, and RF systems, minimizing operational disruptions

Maintain detailed records of system performance, maintenance activities, and customer interactions to drive continuous improvement

Work with Somewear Labs’ engineering, product development, and customer success teams to provide feedback and enhance system performance

Required

Proven UAV piloting experience with a strong understanding of flight operations and safety protocols

FAA Part 107 certifications

Hands-on experience with UAV system integration, including hardware, software, and communication systems

In-depth knowledge of radio frequency (RF) components, such as transceivers, antennas, and signal propagation in UAV applications

Military background with experience in unmanned systems, avionics, or related technical roles

Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related field), equivalent technical experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience in UAV operations, integration, or RF systems

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in dynamic, high-pressure environments

Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration and customer interactions

Ability to travel a minimum of 25% for field support and customer engagements
