Responsibilities
Deliver efficient, maintainable, robust code
Produce designs and rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements
Effectively collaborate with peers across different time zones on designs, code reviews, and testing
Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features
Fast learner and self-directed, flexible enough to work on new technologies as well as some legacy components
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in designing and implementing mainframe system software in an IBM z/OS environment
Strong knowledge of programming in C on z/OS
Good knowledge of Diagnostics, Debugging and Troubleshooting skills on mainframe applications
Must be proficient with problem determination, analysis and resolution
Experience in managing source code with Git repository or any other version control system
Preferred
Good Knowledge Assembler, JCL and REXX
Knowledge on IBM z/OS security systems like RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret
Exposure to Java
Good Knowledge of build and test automation
Exposure to Mainframe modernization
