Responsibilities
Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, construct wood crates, pack, wrap, label, and ship)
Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high
Assist in organizing stock and maintain inventory
Daily use of overhead cranes to load and unload large inventory
Inspect inventory for defects or damages and document any instances
Expedite / prioritize workload
Unload and put away incoming inventory items appropriately
Abide by all company policies and safety policies
Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize shipping and receiving procedures
Keep shipping and receiving clean and organized daily (5’s)
Operates forklifts / cranes to transport large items around the plant
Addresses and resolves any shipment or delivery errors
Updates management or supervisor on the status of inventory, shipments, and deliveries
Movement of raw material and finished goods throughout the facility and in the yard
Assist with yearly physical inventory
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent knowledge (basic math, reading, writing)
Basic computer skills
Previous experience in shipping/receiving operations and carpentry/woodworking knowledge/experience
