GoNetspeed is a company committed to providing fast and reliable Internet to communities. They are seeking an in-house automotive technician to service their fleet of vehicles, performing maintenance and repairs, conducting inspections, and assisting with fleet management tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on company fleet vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools

Write work orders to document work performed and the costs associated with repairs

Must be able to understand, diagnose, and perform repairs for problems related to vehicles and equipment

Upfit vehicles with added equipment and complete their final preparation for field use

Travel to job sites and complete emergency field repairs when necessary

Conduct fleet vehicle inspections and compliance checks for vehicles based out of Phelps, NY location

Maintain the location’s vehicle part and supply inventory

Assist with scheduling and transporting vehicles to outside vendors when needed

Observe all company and industry safety standards in relation to this position

Assist the fleet management team with special projects and assignments as needed

Qualification

Required

2 years of experience in vehicle or fleet equipment repair

Ability to diagnose automotive concerns and provide recommendations for repair as needed

Valid driver's license

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

Previous employment history working for a construction or utility company with a fleet of 50+ vehicles or previous employment at an automotive dealership

College or technical certificate in automotive technology or repair

Welding and metal fabrication experience is a plus

5+ years of experience as an automotive technician or fleet mechanic
