Cybersecurity Architect

Responsibilities

Develop and implement robust security architectures for cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring they meet business needs and HIPAA regulatory requirements
Focus on securing cloud services (AWS and Azure) while integrating security measures for on-premise (COLO) infrastructure
Design and oversee the implementation of security controls for cloud platforms, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and logging
Develop solutions that ensure seamless security across the hybrid infrastructure (COLO and Cloud)
Own the design, development, and execution of the Disaster Recovery (DR) plan for both cloud and on-prem systems
Ensure regular DR tests and updates to the plan, adapting to changing business needs and emerging threats
Serve as the primary security point of contact with third-party colocation (COLO) providers
Ensure data center compliance with the organization’s security policies and ensure SLAs are met

Qualification

Required

Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure, with certifications preferred (AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, etc.)
Experience with colocation (COLO) data centers and on-prem infrastructure
Proven experience in Disaster Recovery planning and execution
Strong understanding of network security, encryption, identity management, and incident response
Experience with compliance and industry regulations (ISO 27001, HITRUST CSF, HIPAA)
Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or Zero Trust Architecture
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive and collaborative approach
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
7+ years of experience in IT security architecture, with a focus on cloud security and hybrid environments
