Administrative Assistant - Tillary Street

Bowery Residents' Committee is dedicated to helping New Yorkers experiencing homelessness reclaim their lives. They are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Program Director and medical staff, maintain client files, and serve as the receptionist for the building.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative assistance to the Program Director, Medical staff and clinical staff
Maintain client files and assist with data base clean-up
Answer phones when necessary
Monitor and report on client interactions from the lobby reception post as needed
Responsible for maintaining the clinical/medical department client waiting list
Serves as the receptionist of the building by directing client questions, forwarding messages to the correct departments, and keeping clients informed of their wait status to see the medical/clinical teams
Related duties as assigned

Qualification

MS Office softwareComputer databasesOrganizational skillsWritten communicationVerbal communicationOffice systems experienceBilingual (Spanish/English/Polish)

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required
Several years of office systems experience
Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Must also be proficient in computer databases and MS Office software

Preferred

Bilingual (Spanish/English/Polish) preferred
Vaccination preferred but not required
