Program Manager I
Eaton is a leader in the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems, and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. They are seeking a Program Manager I to lead customer programs and manage the execution of New Product Development and Product Support projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and financial performance.
Responsibilities
Manage budget of all NPD and Product Support related projects/issue/opportunities at the site. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for every project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments
Manage the Profit and Loss of the NPD Program(s) and projects
Champion Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership across the Program
Facilitate the implementation of lessons learned from post-Gate 5/6 NPD programs that have issues in the field, manufacturing/test issues and/or supply chain challenges at the site
Supervise the functional participants assigned to the product support projects and/or NPD program or site/business unit in a matrix environment
Provide overall Program or site/business unit interface with the customer. Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Communicate and manage customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business
Ensure adequate support to the program and project teams by coordinating PM reviews, preparing & publishing PM metrics and reports
Maintain metrics for program for earned value (CPI/SPI), quality, technical performance and delivery through all PROLaunch phases
Coordinate all risks and requirements of the program into a complete integrated entity. This is accomplished by planning, controlling, integrating all projects into the programs and measuring all elements to ensure the requirements and goals are successfully achieved
Manage customer contract, pricing, terms and conditions and contractual flow-down through the organization
Establish and negotiate pricing strategies by system and/or product, market and by customer. Develop contract negotiation strategies. Ensure effective change management process is utilized
Provide periodic program updates (Program Status Report – Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provide updates to the business units as well as divisional, group and sector levels
Play a key role in developing new business proposals and executing the overall program plan
Seek team input to promote rapid resolution to issues. Coach and provide feedback on performance indicators
Coordinate and monitor a One Eaton Aerospace program technical personnel across multiple sites
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of two (2) years experience in Program or Project Management
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Los Angeles, CA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
Experience in Aerospace New Product Development (NPD) and Product Support programs
Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP)
Experience in Risk Management and Earned Value Management Systems
