Responsibilities

Work directly with clients and planners to help consult and advise on tax implications, liabilities, and strategies as they relate to a client’s financial plan
Communicate effectively and responsively to client enquiries from clients, planners, partners and leadership
Keep current with accounting and tax issues and legislative changes
Building an increasingly robust tax practice, including growing the consulting team and instilling best practices across tax professionals, keeping abreast of new trends and best practices in the tax landscape and taking the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity
Working closely with partners to define and deliver new tax service enhancements relative to new needs or optimization and creating overall tax standards and practices that adhere to regulatory standards

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
CPA/EA/LLM in good standing and clean regulatory history
7+ years of experience with tax planning/tax preparation, especially in investment taxation, retirement plan optimization, and equity compensation – experience with an RIA or wealth management firm preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills, and a proven track record supporting client relationships; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform work efficiently to meet deadlines
Experience with tax planning software (Holistiplan preferred)
Some travel (5-10%) may be required
