People and Culture Specialist

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance to employees and managers while ensuring fairness, consistency, and confidentiality
Investigate and document employee concerns, complaints, and policy violations; partner with HR leadership to determine appropriate outcomes
Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management, corrective actions, and conflict resolution to ensure alignment with company policy and legal requirements
Support and execute company-wide initiatives that enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention
Partner with the People & Culture Manager to review, update, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs
Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement proactive strategies that strengthen workplace culture and employee satisfaction
Assist with HR reporting, metrics, and trend analysis related to employee relations, attendance, turnover, and engagement
Support recruitment and onboarding activities in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring a smooth new-hire experience
Participate in and help coordinate employee communications, events, and recognition programs that align with company culture and values
Serve as a visible and approachable HR representative, modeling professionalism, integrity, and the company’s core values in all interactions

Required

High School Diploma, or related
3+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations, investigations, and performance management
Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, etc.)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment in handling sensitive matters
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Self-starter, able to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with many different functions and employees at all levels of the company

Preferred

Experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
