Field Service Electrical Technician

Rhino Tool House is seeking a Field Service Electrical Technician to support the installation and service of Material Handling equipment and Plant Services systems. Responsibilities

Perform electrical installation and wiring of material handling equipment, conveyors, lifts, and automated systems
Build and wire control panels, junction boxes, and system components per schematics and wiring diagrams
Assist with system start-ups, troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure smooth operation
Support inspections, preventive maintenance, and service calls for electrical/controls issues
Collaborate with mechanical technicians and engineers during builds and installations
Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately
Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and PLC-related issues (experience with PLCs preferred)
Complete service reports, inspection forms, and documentation for customers and internal teams
Adhere to all safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and customer site requirements
Travel regionally and nationally to perform installations and service work at customer facilities

Required

3+ years' experience as an Electrical Technician, Industrial Electrician, or Controls Technician
Strong electrical and wiring skills; ability to build and wire control panels and machine systems
Familiarity with industrial automation equipment (conveyors, lifts, cranes, carts, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
Experience with troubleshooting electrical and control circuits in an industrial environment
Valid driver's license; willingness and ability to travel extensively
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform electrical work in industrial environments
Work in manufacturing and construction environments, sometimes at heights or confined spaces

Preferred

Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and control systems preferred
