Fiscal Support Coordinator - Facilities & Building Services (33614)

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a Fiscal Support Coordinator for their Facilities & Building Services. This role involves monitoring and overseeing fiscal operations, performing reconciliations, and making recommendations for operational changes while providing guidance and training to lower-level staff.

Education Management

Responsibilities

Serves as a lead to lower level staff, which may include: prioritizing and assigning work; monitoring the performance of lower level staff; training staff on work methods and procedures; and, participating in performance evaluations
Receives and processes a variety of transactions, forms, data, fixed assets, and/or information in assigned area of responsibility; researches and resolves discrepancies and/or erroneous information
Verifies monitors, analyzes, and reconciles financial information for an assigned area. Performs journal entries for the purpose of classifying expenses, revenues, assets, and/or liabilities
Creates reviews, analyzes, interprets, and maintains a variety of records, systems, and logs
Reviews and analyzes the tactical day-to-day operational activities in assigned area of responsibility and makes recommendations for operational changes that are intended to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of operations
Performs routine office activities, which may include: making copies; filing; sorting, opening, and distributing mail; entering information into a database; faxing documents; and, performing other related activities
Assists in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, laws and regulations
Assists customers, vendors, and employees with requests for information over the phone and in person; researches and resolves complex and difficult discrepancies and/or erroneous data
Prepares a variety of reports and/or statistical data with information obtained from databases and/or spreadsheets
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

Required

Associate's Degree in accounting, bookkeeping or related field
Five years of progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably directly related to the area of assignment
Specialized knowledge in the area of assignment
Ability to monitor, oversee, and make decisions related to operations
Experience performing reconciliations, researching and troubleshooting problems
Ability to analyze operations and make recommendations for operational changes
Experience assisting in developing policy and procedural changes
Experience providing guidance, training, and mentoring to subordinates
Ability to prioritize and assign work to lower level staff
Experience monitoring the performance of lower level staff
Ability to train staff on work methods and procedures
Experience participating in performance evaluations
Ability to receive and process a variety of transactions, forms, data, fixed assets, and/or information
Experience researching and resolving discrepancies and/or erroneous information
Ability to verify, monitor, analyze, and reconcile financial information
Experience performing journal entries for classifying expenses, revenues, assets, and/or liabilities
