Responsibilities

Provide technical consultation and support to customers and Sales personnel, particularly regarding advanced applications and systems

Assist with ZEISS Calypso programming as needed

Ensure accurate and timely flow of technical information

Focus on advanced applications and new ZEISS technology

Support projects using ZEISS systems, including responding to customer software/application inquiries and assisting other ZEISS departments as needed

Provide applications expertise for project-related activities, including analyzing customer inspection requirements

Perform Gage R&R studies

Support IT-related issues, including Windows operating systems, networking, and database management

Qualification

ZEISS Calypso programmingMetrology experienceEngineering drawings interpretationGD&T interpretationComputer-aided data analysisEntrepreneurial mindsetProblem-solving skillsCommunication skills

Required

Four-year degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or another technical discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience is acceptable

A minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry is preferred or equivalent professional experience with metrology products

Ability to read engineering drawings for dimensional control requirements

Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Strong inspection or metrology skills with experience in the manufacturing industry

Proficiency with computer software and aptitude for computer-aided data analysis products

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn independently and address customer challenges

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create concise technical reports

Ability to reason and negotiate complex problems with customers

Entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to contribute to a high-performance, fast-growing segment of ZEISS

Preferred

Experience with ZEISS Calypso software and CMM programming is a plus
