Responsibilities

Design systems that save lives

Take ownership of your projects from start to finish

Collaborate with other HFA disciplines to create seamless, high-performing building systems

Communicate with clients and deliver completed construction documents

Independently develop, implement, and draft construction documents for projects

Solve medium to difficult design challenges that arise on a project

Design and draft fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and fire protection underground supply piping systems

Train new employees on company standards and drafting techniques

Provide quality control on all projects for final review

Select and design sprinkler/alarm systems and equipment, controls, and provide hydraulic calculations

Qualification

Required

Proficient in Revit, AutoSprink, and related design tools

Strong understanding of NFPA codes, fire protection standards, and building codes

Ability to develop code-compliant sprinkler and underground piping system designs, including riser diagrams

Skilled in performing hydraulic load calculations

BSME, BS Fire Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred

Familiar with high-rise alarm systems, voice evacuation, and Honeywell fire alarm systems is a plus
