Responsibilities

Design of horizontal and vertical alignments for rail tracks

Design of drainage systems to support rail projects

Develop plan set suitable for construction

Obtains project information from other LJA personnel as directed

Uses templates to prepare draft memos and reports for an experienced engineer to use for re-write

Receive regular training to learn the design of freight rail projects

Potential for field construction management and inspection activities

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering is required

Eligible to take the PE Exam within the next 3 years

Strong communication skills

Ability to build strong relationships
