Division General Counsel - Labor and Employment
U.S. Venture, Inc. is seeking a Division General Counsel specializing in Labor and Employment Law. The role involves providing legal expertise in employment matters, drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and managing litigation.

Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, and other commercial agreements, policies, handbooks, and other documents related to employment matters
Advise management and human resources on various employment-related issues, such as hiring, termination, discipline, compensation, benefits, leaves, accommodations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and whistleblowing
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, such as EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, OSHA, and WARN
Conduct internal investigations and audits on employment-related matters and prepare reports and recommendations
Develop and deliver trainings and presentations on employment law topics to management and employees
Manage employment litigation and arbitrations on behalf of the Company, including coordinating with outside counsel to respond to complaints, discovery requests, motions, and subpoenas, and attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlements
Monitor and update the company on the latest developments and trends in employment law and best practices
Manage and coordinate with outside counsel and vendors as needed

Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
License to practice law in any state
15+ years of employment law and relevant experience, preferably in a corporate setting
Excellent knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations
Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders
High ethical standards and professionalism
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
