Responsibilities

Take primary responsibility for shaping the commercial strategy for assigned accounts, and ensure it is implemented regionally with clear, measurable goals
Find, assess, and secure strategic business opportunities, including greenfield builds, retrofits, and upgrades throughout the lifecycle for assigned accounts
Lead a cohesive approach involving Sales, Marketing, and Technology across DCBU and Enterprise Networks to effectively promote Corning solutions
Work with stakeholders from assigned accounts to build and sustain a shared roadmap, while also influencing relevant specifications and standards
Build multi-level relationships across assigned account Infra (Data Center Engineering, Edge/Network Services, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Quality)
Map decision‑makers, influencers, and technical approvers; create contact plans and call cadences to advance opportunities
Be recognized by assigned account as a problem‑solver and trusted partner who brings insights on technology, total cost, and speed‑to‑deploy
Manage the buying process, negotiations, and agreements (pricing, MSAs/NDAs, program terms) to drive preference for Corning
Forecast weekly and manage the sales/expense budget for the account; maintain opportunity hygiene and stage discipline in Salesforce
Partner with Program Managers to related function team members to ensure supply assurance, predictable lead times, and risk mitigation for critical Assigned account programs
Align channel partners and integrators engaged at Assigned account; ensure channel strategies reinforce Corning’s value propositions

Required

10+ years enterprise or hyperscale data center sales/account leadership; direct global account experience or comparable hyperscaler strongly preferred
Proven record growing complex, multi‑region accounts with matrixed stakeholders and long sales cycles
Working knowledge of optical connectivity, structured cabling, and data center architectures (incl. high‑density fiber, MPO/MTP, pre‑terminated solutions)
Familiarity with HSDC designs and next‑gen AI DC infrastructure and their fiber/cabling implications
Expert communication, executive presence, and cross‑functional leadership; ability to motivate and coordinate indirect teams
Fluency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Salesforce for pipeline, forecasting, and account planning
BA/BS required; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
Ability to travel 25–50% domestically and globally; effective in a home‑based office with minimal supervision
Location: US west coast
