Nokia is a leader in optical technology within the telecommunications industry, and they are seeking a Mechanical CAD Drafter for their Optical Network Infrastructure – New Product Introduction team. In this role, you will create detailed mechanical and electro-optical assembly drawings and collaborate closely with design engineers to support new product development.

Responsibilities

Create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings based on direct requirements from design engineers
Collaborate with design engineers and test set construction technicians to ensure drawings reflect final designs
Support mechanical design engineers by updating marked-up prints and CAD models for test set racks, tooling fixtures, and piece-parts
Upload and manage updated drawings using Agile PLM software

Qualification

CAD software proficiencyCreo ParametricAgile PLM softwareASME Y14.5 certificationWindchill PDM softwareMicrosoft Office SuiteWillingness to learnCommunication skillsAttention to detail

Required

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and multitasking environment

Preferred

1+ years of experience as a CAD drafter
Experience with Creo Parametric CAD software
ASME Y14.5 Standard certified
Familiarity with Windchill PDM software
Experience using Agile PLM software
