SMC is a company seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician III to provide production equipment support and assist engineering with related projects. The role involves repairing and maintaining production equipment, executing upgrades, and ensuring compliance with maintenance standards.

Responsibilities

Adherence to all department work instructions

Repair and maintain all production equipment, both electrical and mechanical

Assist engineering as required with special machine related projects

Execute machine upgrades, modifications and complete machine overhauls when required

Work with CNC and PLC controlled machines

Initiate or enhance the preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment

Calibrate automated testing machines

Maintain and order repair parts for production equipment consistent with SMC established procedures

Application of root-cause analysis for repetitive equipment failures

Ensure respective area is compliant with 5S standards

Maintain daily log of work in established SMC systems

Assist in the training of individuals with less experience and tenure on established maintenance standards and practices

Mentor individuals in less experienced positions to prepare them for movement to higher level positions

Project initiation and supervision

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required

Associates degree in a technical related field or equivalent experience

More than 10 years prior experience in the Equipment Maintenance field

Prior experience with CNC and PLC controlled equipment

Preventative maintenance skills and calibration experience are required

Ability to work well in a team environment

Detail oriented

Ability to effectively communicate

Experienced with MS Office programs
