Sales Support Engineer

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide tailored technology solutions that best fit their needs
Provide pre-sales technical support, including system design recommendations, product selection, and cost estimation
Prepare detailed system proposals, drawings, and documentation for client presentations
Work closely with the design team to align standards and processes
Offer technical expertise during the sales process by demonstrating products, conducting presentations, and responding to RFPs
Assist in the development of marketing materials and technical documentation related to product offerings
Support training efforts for the sales team on technical aspects of AV solutions
Understand competitors’ products and market trends to effectively position our offerings
Provide ongoing technical support to customers during and after the sales process to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
Maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers to ensure access to the latest products and best pricing

Required

Strong technical knowledge of residential automation systems, home networking, security systems, and audiovisual solutions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
A passion for technology and staying updated with the latest trends in home automation and integration
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, sales engineering, or a related role within the technology integration or residential technology industry
Clean driving record

Preferred

Experience with project management and familiarity with installation processes in a residential setting
Certified in relevant technologies or systems (e.g., CEDIA, Crestron, Savant, Control4, Lutron etc.)
