Assistant Professor - Career Track Electrical Engineering or Computer Science - Vancouver Campus
Washington State University (WSU) Vancouver invites applications for a 9-month academic year, full-time scholarly Assistant Professor - Career-Track teaching faculty position in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses, mentoring students, and promoting the program at various events.
Construction
Responsibilities
Teaching undergraduate courses in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science
Participating in the continuous teaching assessment activities of the relevant units and WSU campuses
Effectively communicating, mentoring, and interacting with students
Promoting the WSU Vancouver program in other schools and events
Collaborating with others within the unit, University, or other organizations
Qualification
Required
Earned PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field by August 1, 2026 (for August 16, 2026 start) or earned master's degree with relevant teaching experiences
Demonstrated strong teaching and communication skills
Preferred
Industry experience, working at industry or working with industry to create student opportunities
Prior teaching experience in one or multiple areas mentioned above
Experience with curriculum development, program development, and student recruitment
